3-Piece Wheels.
So there are 3 major Parts to a 3-piece wheel! The outer lip, The Wheel centre & The Inner barrel. This creates the term 3-Piece. Both the outer lip and inner barrel can be replaced with the same size or different. this creates multiple options for potental sizing and widths.
2-Piece Wheels.
So there are 2 major parts to a 2 piece wheel. The outer barrel (which is the outer lip and inner barrel combined) and The Wheel centre. This creates the term 2-Piece. These can be tricky to modify or replace one section howeverwe can custom make barrels or convert them to a 3-Piece wheel.
JDM 3-Piece Wheels?
For some 3 piece wheels, especially Japanese multi piece designs, the lips and barrels are welded together. When we need to fit a bigger lip or barrel, or replace a damaged section, We can cut off the old one and machine the surface flange to prepare it.
The cut-off piece can't be reused, so it gets recycled. But the part we're keeping gets machined to perfection so it's ready for the new component.
BBS 2-Piece Wheels?
So Most of the BBS LM, RS2, LMR and others are actually a 2 piece wheel. We can repair, replace parts or modify them Easily!
New Lips & Barrels.
For when new wheel parts are needed we can make wheel lip sizes from minus 1 inch (or what they call a negitive lip) and go all the way up to 10 inches or wider!
While the inside barrels range from 3 to 10 inches.
We craft both from aircraft-grade 6061 aluminium and heat treat them to T6 specification, which means they're built to last.
